Quick start
Add the Vizbl MCP server to Claude or Claude Code and run your first task.
Quick start
1. Add the server
Claude (web, desktop or mobile): open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste:
https://mcp.vizbl.com/mcpClaude Code: run in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http vizbl https://mcp.vizbl.com/mcpOther MCP clients: add a remote server with the same URL and the Streamable HTTP transport. Client registration is dynamic, so you do not need to register an application with Vizbl first.
2. Authorize
Your client opens the Vizbl consent screen. Review the requested access and approve it.
The API key field is optional. Leave it empty to start: guides, cost estimates, conversion, file hosting, AR links, QR codes and widget snippets work without a Vizbl account.
3. Add an API key for your own library (optional)
To import, upload and delete models in your Vizbl account:
- Sign in to Vizbl and create a Developer API key of type secret. It starts with
sk_live_and is shown only once, when you create it. - Reconnect the Vizbl connector in your client and paste the key on the consent screen.
The key is sealed into the encrypted OAuth tokens held by your client and is never stored on Vizbl servers. Reconnect at any time to add or change it.
Keep secret keys out of your website
A secret key gives server-side access to your account. Use it only on the consent screen or on your own server, never in page markup or front-end code. The AR button on your site uses a separate public widget key.
4. Try it
Attach a model file to the chat and ask, for example:
- Convert this STEP file to a light GLB for our product page.
- Import chair.glb into Vizbl as "Oak dining chair", tag it furniture, and give me the AR link when it is ready.
- Give me the AR button and a QR code for object a1b2c3d4.
Access tokens last 60 minutes and refresh silently for up to 90 days. After that, approve the connection once more.
Before you go live
- Allow-list your storefront domain in the Vizbl workspace. The AR button does not work on domains that are not on the list, and every subdomain (for example
wwworshop.) is a separate entry. - Make sure your account has enough tokens. Loading a model in AR spends tokens; at zero balance the widget stops serving.
