Overview
Connect Claude and other AI assistants to Vizbl through the remote MCP server.
Overview
The Vizbl MCP connector lets an AI assistant work with Vizbl directly from the chat. It converts 3D and CAD files, imports models into your Vizbl library, tracks conversion and import jobs, and returns the AR links, QR codes and product-page buttons you need to publish a product in AR.
Vizbl runs a remote Model Context Protocol server. There is nothing to install or run locally: any MCP client that supports remote servers and OAuth can connect, including Claude and Claude Code.
| Server URL | https://mcp.vizbl.com/mcp |
| Transport | Streamable HTTP |
| Authorization | OAuth 2.0 with dynamic client registration |
| Account required | No. An optional secret API key unlocks import, upload and delete |
| Status | https://mcp.vizbl.com/health |
How it works
- You add the server URL to your AI client as a custom connector.
- The client opens the Vizbl consent screen. You approve the requested access and, optionally, paste a secret API key.
- You attach a model or describe a task in plain language. The assistant picks the right tools and calls them.
- The connector forwards each call to the Vizbl conversion pipeline or to the Vizbl Developer API under your account, then returns the result to the chat.
The connector is stateless. It stores no sessions, no conversations and no copy of your API key.
What you can do
- Convert a 3D or CAD file (14 source formats, including STEP, IGES, STL and FBX) to GLB, USDZ or FBX.
- Import models into your Vizbl library, including multi-variant models, with a name, tags, category and placement type.
- Track long-running conversions and imports by job id.
- Publish an object: get its AR link, a QR code for print, and the HTML for the AR button on a product page.
- Generate Wall Art buttons for a product list and check that print sizes are physical dimensions, not image resolution.
- Plan a budget: estimate monthly token usage from traffic and catalog size.
- Ask how Vizbl works: the assistant reads the official Vizbl guide before it answers.
Tokens, not currency
The connector never quotes prices in currency. Cost estimates are given in Vizbl tokens; the final price is shown on the Vizbl payment page.
